    The cave churches of Cappadocia were built in the 9th through 11th century.  This one (The White Church of Rose Valley) was probably one of the earlier churches since there is no painting on the interior walls.
    The cave churches of Cappadocia were built in the 9th through 11th century.  This church shows frescoes and was probably constructed in the 11th century.  Photo made with available light.
    This is the church Hacli Kilse or Church with the cross).  It is on the north rim of the Red Valley, Cappadocia, Turkey.  Interior frescoes are magnificent but could have been damaged by artificial light -- so you'll just have to take my word for it.
