Albatross in flight. This one about eight feet from wing tip to wing tip. Around 100 of the birds call the Royal Albatross Colony home. The colony is at the tip of the Otago Peninsula near Dunedin, South Island.
Curio Bay. Seldom visited but this amazing place has a place to sight the rare yellow-eyed penguin, a collection of fossilized trees and incredible crashing waves on the rocks at the point. It's about as far south as you can get and still be in New Zealand.
